Bubba hanging out

My husband and I don’t have human children, so our fur kids are our life. We recently went on a 2 week trip out of the country, and searched endlessly online for the perfect person to watch our cat, Bubba. When Julie came over to our house to meet our family, we knew in the first 5 minutes that she was exactly what we were looking for. She has such a warm and caring personality. We loved how organized and professional she was. When the time came for her to watch Bubba, she sent us several cute email updates. She noticed that he is a social eater, so she came over to the house and had lunch with him one day! This really touched our hearts. We didn’t know Julie before hiring her, but we now consider her a friend, and I know Bubba can’t wait to see her again!

Sweet Moochy sporting her winter coat

Julie has been a blessing for Moochy! Moochy is an alpha and former agility champion and a senior, aging dog who has lost most of her hearing. I work long hours and needed a trustworthy, astute, kind and experienced caretaker during the week. Julie has been that and much more for us! From the start, Mooch responded beautifully to her, so much so, that I had complete confidence this relationship was perfect for the long term. It certainly helps when you find the right caretaker for your senior dog! I’ve had Moochy since she could fit in the palm of my hand as a baby, so we are tightly bonded. Julie is so respectful, flexible, smart and savvy. She is a gifted, sensitive caretaker and trainer. You truly get professional service with all the trimmings and her reliability is amazing. Moochy and I would recommend Julie to any person or household in need of the finest care and integrity for your dogs!

Mac playing ball

Several months ago I saw an outreach piece from Julie regarding her services and I called her immediately. First I had her come over to the house to meet the mutts, and that went well; next I asked for references, which she gladly gave me, and the references were excellent; then we did our first dog-walk gig and she texted photos of the mutts having fun while my husband I were away also having fun! So, we have felt to lucky to have found Julie Norton and Tails and Trails and have called her several times to care for our dogs.

Margie enjoying a doggie drop-in during a vacation services visit

I totally trust Julie at Tails and Trails to look after my dog and house while I’m away. She’s professional, detail-oriented and I appreciate her veterinary background. Scheduling was super easy. Knowing this is her full-time job gives me peace of mind. Loved that she brought treats for my pup to the meet and greet. My dog loves her too and I’ll definitely call on Julie for my petsitting needs in the future!

Laci out for a walk during her vacation visit

We have a senior dog Laci rescued as a puppy from under a cabin who is not super social with people and a cray cat she dubbed Mr. Shadow. When I asked Julie to meet with she was very accommodating. She came in the house and Laci acted like she was just part of the family. We have dubbed her the dog whisperer. I have NEVER seen Laci so comfortable with a stranger. Julie then took extra time to ensure she was the right fit for our pets. It became obvious she would be perfect. We took a 2 week trip to California and got great pics of their new friend Julie, as she kept us informed often. She is kind and caring, I have and will continue to recommend her. She definitely went above and beyond when caring for our fur babies. Thank you again Julie!!!!
